Yorkie Cost

The median Yorkie cost seems to be around $1000. In addition to that, you can expect Yorkie food cost to be around $200/year along with about $200/year in vet bills.

Keep in mind however that the price is dependant upon the breed of Yorkie. They can be as little as $300.00, or on the high end, $3000.00. My male Yorkie was $3000.00 due to his pedigree line.

Pet stores can charge anywhere from $500.00-$1000.00, while many responsible breeders will sell them for $300.00 or less.

Also, it is important to note that there is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. The name teacup Yorkie refers to the runts of the litter. These little guys will require life long special care due to the fact that they are extremely fragile, and can possible endure a lifetime of health problems.

It is best to try and rescue a Yorkie. Check out www.Petfinder.com for Yorkies in your area.
