Yorkie attacking our cat

I know dogs aren't supposed to like cats, but I've seen and heard of plenty of them coexisting peacefully together. There has to be something to it...

Sounds like your dog may have aggression issues. If he is also aggressive to other dogs he doesn't know. Maybe a socialization problem from when he was a puppy? I would look into training.
